Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a project team of multiple disciplines, as assigned, from initiation through construction & occupancy.
  • Oversee day-to-day studio work assignments/staff utilization, project performance, work quality, and scheduling.
  • Business Development as assigned by team leadership
  • Oversee the programming, design process and production of construction documents, plans and specifications.
  • Lead the development of graphics, design packages and presentations.
  • Continually evaluate workload and projects, schedule, and collaborate with team members and consultants to insure appropriate staffing is supplied at the right level of expertise to successfully complete each task assignment.
  • Manage project budgets.
  • Develop detailed project schedules and communicate/assign/track key deliverable dates to team.
  • Initiate & maintain contact with key project leads for clarification/coordination/negotiation of critical issues.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Significant experience with K-12 educational projects
  • Professional Registration (Michigan License preferred, Ohio optional)
  • Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture), required   Experience with business development, preferred.
  • LEED-Accredited Professional, preferred
  • Experienced in architectural design, detailing and documentation of new building, restoration and renovation projects.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience as a team leader, studio leader or principal.
