What You'll Contribute to OHM Advisors

An Engineer in the Environmental and Water Resources Group will assist with drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater analysis and modeling projects. He/she will be involved in a variety of projects that include analysis of conveyance and treatment systems, asset management, capital planning, etc.

Your Responsibilities

  • Embrace our advanced technology approach that utilizes cloud based data management and the latest water modeling software.
  • Perform various water resources-related calculations and analyses using a variety of software tools.
  • Assist in gathering and evaluating raw data.
  • Assist with development of rehabilitation and replacement strategies for water and wastewater systems
  • Prepare contract drawings by drafting in AutoCAD and BIM platforms.
  • Research water and wastewater treatment equipment options for different applications.
  • Organize information for use in reports, maps, presentations and other documents.
  • Assist with field and data collection activities like flow metering, hydrant testing, condition assessment, or construction monitoring.
  • Assist in communicating project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, client and public (memos, reports, presentations, etc.).

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience or familiarity working with GIS, AutoCAD, Revit, Matlab, hydrologic and hydraulic design programs, such as EPA-SWMM, H2O-Map, Infowater, HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS preferred.
  • EIT (Engineer-In-Training), and previous co-op or internship experience in Water Resources desired.
  • Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and organization skills with a positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
  • Collaborative team minded values.
  • Desire to solve challenging problems and help advance our clients.
